Our Impact
PlaySafe provides certified athletic trainers to schools that do not otherwise have the resources to provide these essential services.

“Having Davis (Shelby Davis, PlaySafe ATC) on staff helps athletes receive treatment quicker, both on the field and with doctors’ appointments, and takes the responsibility for treating and keeping an eye on injured players off the coaches.”
To provide the best possible care for student athletes, athletic training services are needed consistently throughout the afternoons and evenings during practices and sporting events. While public schools have a duty to provide proper supervision during athletic activities, few have the resources to do so. PlaySafe is the answer in helping schools fulfill this duty by placing a full-time, salaried athletic trainer on campus.

Only 37% of public high schools employ a full-time athletic trainer.

PlaySafe athletic trainers see over 50,000 training room visits per year.

62% of sports-related injuries occur during practice.

HOW YOUR DONATIONS HAVE HELPED
Your donations fund our mission to keep student athletes safe. Your donated funds go directly toward athletic trainers providing sports medicine services in our schools. A small portion goes toward day-to-day needs associated with running PlaySafe, but our overall budget is less than 20% toward administrative overhead.
PlaySafe effectively and carefully uses funds to make a tangible impact in the schools and communities we serve. Your donation directly benefits our ability to provide athletic training services and to ensure we have qualified and experienced staff to serve our student athletes. Our goal is to be transparent and accountable with all funding we receive.
